PT-141

Also called PT141, bremelanotide, Vyleesi

PT-141 is the "desire" peptide.

Where this answer comes fromApproved medicine

This one has been through full clinical trials and is an approved medicine somewhere in the world. The ranges below are drawn from those trials and from what the community reports using.

The quick answer

PT-141 is the "desire" peptide. Unlike the little blue pill, which works on plumbing, PT-141 works in the brain - it taps the dopamine pathways behind actual wanting. That's why it can work for both men and women, and even when blood-flow drugs fall short.

You take it about 45 minutes ahead; most people feel it within the hour, and the effect can linger for several hours. The one thing to expect is nausea - it's the most common side effect, worst on your first try and at higher doses, and it usually settles as you get used to it. It also briefly nudges blood pressure, so it's not for anyone with uncontrolled hypertension or heart issues.

Why people use it

🔥 Reignites sexual desire; 🧠 Works in the brain, not just blood flow; 👫 Effective for men and women; 💊 Works when ED pills don't; ⏱️ Kicks in within an hour

Works on desire rather than mechanics, which is why it suits people for whom the plumbing is not the problem.

10mg vial + 2ml BAC water = 5mg/ml. Start 0.5mg = 10u; standard 1mg = 20u; FDA-label ceiling 1.75mg = 35u. As needed, 45-60 min before intimacy. Max 1 dose / 24h and 8 doses / 28 days.

💡 PT-141 works centrally, not peripherally - it increases desire from the brain down, making it uniquely effective for low libido. $40 CAD per 10mg vial. Reconstitute 10mg with 2mL BAC water = 5mg/mL. 0.5mg = 0.10ml (10u), 1mg = 0.20ml (20u), 1.5mg = 0.30ml (30u).

Side effects, and what people do about them

Works nicely for most people, with a couple of things to know for a smooth first time. Some nausea and a flushed feeling in the first hour are the most common, and they usually settle with use - starting at the low end helps a lot. If you have heart concerns or high blood pressure, just check with your doctor first so you can enjoy it worry-free.

How it actually works

Bremelanotide - the deaminated metabolite of melanotan II, and MC4R-selective where its parent is not. It acts centrally, in the hypothalamus, on the pathways that generate sexual arousal.

For stacking, two things follow and both are commonly misunderstood. It is not a vascular drug: PDE5 inhibitors act peripherally on blood-vessel smooth muscle, this acts on the brain, and they are genuinely different mechanisms rather than two versions of the same one. And because it is a melanotan II metabolite, running both is hitting MC4R twice.

What people report, in full

PT-141's feedback splits along the same line as its approval status. For women (where it's FDA-approved), roughly 40–50% report a real boost in arousal; for men (off-label), a bit more - around 50–60% - report better erections and desire. It kicks in within 30–60 minutes and lasts several hours. The one side effect to plan for is nausea, which hits about a fifth to a quarter of users and is often headed off with an antihistamine beforehand. It's an as-needed thing, not a daily one.
